The Eternal Cycle
The endless ocean roaring with all his might, the beautiful sprinkling waves reflecting the light of the yellow-red sun, glowing like molten gold, while her warm, life-spending rays the earth enfold. And then, when evening approaches, the sun goes down, for a short while becoming the seas' golden crown, before she vanishes behind the earth, our home, and the stars are allowed to rise to the sky-dome. But their beauty is surpassed by far by the moon, who now stands as high as the sun did at noon, illuminating the earth for nightdwellers: the owl and the wolves, who wholeheartedly up at him howl. During the dark hours he wanders around the sky, while his silverwhite beams try the clouds to defy. All the night he stays on his everlasting course until dawn nears once again without remorse. Now the cool, clear dew gathers on the plants and each and every bird for the new day chants, to welcome the sun happily on this brand new day, so that she may shine again upon the wave's fine spray. |
